CBD has quickly become one of the fastest-growing wellness trends globally, particularly here in the UK. Last year saw a boom in the number of people buying CBD products and this is set to continue.
What makes CBD so popular?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a plant extract and one of the compounds found in the cannabis Sativa plant. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the other most well-known compound, CBD is not psychoactive (so it won't get you high) but is instead associated with delivering a raft of health benefits. Whilst, we as a brand cannot state all its direct benefits, research does suggest that it can help with relaxation (particularly important after the year we’ve had) - so have a quick google and see for yourself.
Where does CBD oil come from?
The CBD used in our CBD vape oil is extracted from the hemp plants grown in super friendly, outdoor conditions in the US. These plants are ground down and then extracted for human use.
Is Vaping CBD Legal?
The laws around this recently changed. Now, CBD products are entirely legal as long as they contain less than 0.2% THC content. All our CBD products are broad spectrum so contain no THC but do contain other minor cannabinoids that enhance the effects of the CBD.
What is CBD vape oil?
Vaping CBD is one of the most popular and effective ways to take CBD. There are two types of vape juice you can vape - either CBD e liquid or a CBD vape oil which differ in strength and ingredients. Unlike CBD e liquid which is diluted down by a base liquid (PG / VG), CBD vape oils pure extract, natural terpenes and nothing else making it healthier and much stronger.
What is the right dosage?
We all know it’s frustrating to try something out but not knowing how much to have. Due to there not being a recommended daily intake, there is no official serving size for CBD, all you have to keep in mind is the maximum daily dose of 75mg in the UK. Frustratingly, there are tons of articles about the benefits, but none on the correct dosages.
In order to tell if it’s the right dosage, you will need to consider some important factors such as;
- Concentration of CBD used
- Weight of individual
- Individuals body chemistry
- There isn’t a “one size fits all” dosage, no doubt there will be some trial and error whilst measuring your correct dosage, but it will be worth it!
How to find your dosage:
Use your weight as a baseline
Individuals with a larger body mass will require more CBD to experience the effects. Try taking 1-6mg of CBD for every 5kg of body weight based on the desired level of effect you want.
Start small and increase gradually
If you have a friend that weighs approximately the same as you and he recommends taking the same dosage as them - don’t! We are all different and have a unique interaction with substances or anything we put into our bodies. The most important thing is to base dosage on your weight to start with to see how your body reacts and gradually increase the intake of CBD. Monitor it closely until you find the correct dosage that works for you.
About our CBD Vape oil
All our high strength vape oil cartridges are a pure blend CBD, CBG, other minor cannabinoids, terpenes and nothing else! They come in .5ml cartridges (we are looking into making this a bit bigger in the coming months!) and are 510 thread compatible.
